Meet the Team
Phillip Minar, MD, MS
Dr. Minar is a pediatric gastroenterologist, the Medical Director of the Schubert-Martin Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Center at Cincinnati Children’s, and the study’s Lead Principal Investigator.
Dr. Minar’s research focuses on:
Discovery of novel blood biomarkers to cost-effectively monitor treatment response.
Investigating new ways to pair the best treatment with the individual patient (precision medicine).
Development of innovative technology to guide clinicians on the best strategy to dose biologic medications.
Kimberly Jackson, Senior Clinical Research Coordinator
Kim has been a research coordinator since 2005 and has worked at Cincinnati Children’s with Dr. Minar for 10 years.
Kim is acting as both the project manager for the REMODEL-CD trial and will be recruiting patients to participate in the study at Cincinnati Children’s.
Tomoyuki Mizuno, Ph.D.
Dr. Mizuno is an Assistant Professor within the Division of Clinical Pharmacology at Cincinnati Children’s.
His research focuses on:
Conducting pharmacokinetic modeling and simulation analyses for various medications for children.
Developing and implementing personalized precision dosing strategies for children with inflammatory bowel diseases.
At the end of the study, Dr. Mizuno will be performing additional modeling from the data collected.
