Meet the Team

Phillip Minar, MD, MS

  • Dr. Minar is a pediatric gastroenterologist, the Medical Director of the Schubert-Martin Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Center at Cincinnati Children’s, and the study’s Lead Principal Investigator.

  • Dr. Minar’s research focuses on:

    • Discovery of novel blood biomarkers to cost-effectively monitor treatment response.

    • Investigating new ways to pair the best treatment with the individual patient (precision medicine).

    • Development of innovative technology to guide clinicians on the best strategy to dose biologic medications.

 

Kimberly Jackson, Senior Clinical Research Coordinator

  • Kim has been a research coordinator since 2005 and has worked at Cincinnati Children’s with Dr. Minar for 10 years.

  • Kim is acting as both the project manager for the REMODEL-CD trial and will be recruiting patients to participate in the study at Cincinnati Children’s.


Tomoyuki Mizuno, Ph.D.

  • Dr. Mizuno is an Assistant Professor within the Division of Clinical Pharmacology at Cincinnati Children’s.

  • His research focuses on:

    • Conducting pharmacokinetic modeling and simulation analyses for various medications for children.

    • Developing and implementing personalized precision dosing strategies for children with inflammatory bowel diseases.

  • At the end of the study, Dr. Mizuno will be performing additional modeling from the data collected.
